“Where Is Miss Froy?”

Earlier in the week, I wrote on this page about Sunday evening’s debut of The Lady Vanishes, a new, British TV adaptation of Ethel Lina White’s 1936 novel, The Wheel Spins. That 90-minute mystery, set in the 1930s and focusing on a young socialite (played by Tuppence Middleton) who reawakens from a nap during her train trip to discover that the kindly older woman she’d just befriended has disappeared, will begin tomorrow, August 18, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on PBS-TV’s Masterpiece Mystery! Now I present, below, BBC One’s trailer for the film.

Gosh, that's been made how many times? I wonder if it's a case of the source material being excellent, or filmmakers being inspired by each other?

I'd say it's both. -- Jeff
