Welcome Back

After a two-week hiatus, the blogosphere’s Friday “forgotten books” series returns. In a big way. Among today’s recommended crime novels: Hangover Square, by Patrick Hamilton; The Golden Widow, by Floyd Mahannah; Murder in the Navy, by Richard Marsten; The Mind Readers, by Margery Allingham; Ride the Lightning, by John Lutz; The Patriots Club, by Christopher Reich; and The Chic Chick Spy, by Bob Tralins. Three short-story collections also get the nod: The View from Daniel Pike, by Edward Boyd and Bill Knox; Killer in the Rain, by Raymond Chandler; and First Cases: First Appearances of Classic Private Eyes, edited by Robert J. Randisi.

In her own blog, series organizer Patti Abbott hosts three other book write-ups, plus a list of all of today’s participating writers.
