Lauding the Lost

It’s Friday, so you’re right to expect that a wide variety of “forgotten book” recommendations are being posted around the crime-fiction blogosphere. Among the works getting a big thumbs-up today are: The Camera Clue, by George Harmon Coxe; Chandler, by William Denbow; Israel Rank, by Roy Horniman; Maigret’s Pickpocket, by Georges Simenon; Live Now, Pay Later, by Jack Trevor Story; I Should Have Stayed Home, by Horace McCoy; The History of Mystery, by Max Allan Collins; The Pulp Jungle, by Frank Gruber; and On Crime Writing, by Ross Macdonald.

Series organizer Patti Abbott features several more titles in her own blog, including Live Girls, by Ray Garton. Look there, too, for a complete list of today’s participants.

FYI . . . I've launched a "forgotten books" feature at Booked for Murder . Today's title is THE CLOVIS INCIDENT from 2004.
