They Walk Among Us

Are there any fans out there of the 1960s mystery/science-fiction TV series The Invaders? Then you might be interested in this notice, which I received earlier today from television historian Ed Robertson:
The Invaders, the classic sci-fi TV series from 1967, will be the subject of the Tuesday, June 10, edition of Talking Television with Dave White, beginning at 10:30 p.m. ET, 7:30 p.m. PT on Share-a-Vision Radio, KSAV.org. Described by executive producer Quinn Martin as “a study in paranoia,” The Invaders starred Roy Thinnes as a man who discovers that aliens from another planet are plotting to take over Earth, only to find that when he reports this to the authorities, no one will believe him. Ed Robertson and Frankie Montiforte will co-host the program, which will begin with a special 20-minute pre-recorded interview with series creator Larry Cohen. Ed and Frankie will then be joined live by TV historian Stephen Bowie, author of The Invaders: Behind the Scenes, a comprehensive history of the series available at ClassicTVHistory.com. If you’re a fan of The Invaders, if you enjoy the shows of Quinn Martin, if you have a favorite episode of the series or love classic sci-fi television, be sure to join us Tuesday, June 10, beginning at 10:30 p.m. ET, 7:30 p.m. PT on Share-a-Vision Radio, KSAV.org. Phone number, as always, is (800) 407-KSAV (5728). You can also e-mail questions or comments in advance: talk@ksav.org or ed@talkingtelevision.org.
By the way, I see that the first season of The Invaders has finally been released on DVD. Seems it’s time to get your paranoid streak up and running again.

Always enjoyed The Invaders. Saw every episode when it was first on. Roy Thinnes did an episode of The X Files which was almost an homage. He's still alive, I think. Too bad he's not part of this.

My late father was a passionate fan of The Invaders. The solemn opening voiceover about Roy Thinnes' discovery of the aliens behind 'a deserted diner' amused him enormously, and I remember that rather better than the stories themselves.

Great show! I first saw it in reruns on the Sci-Fi channel about 10 years ago. I'll have to look for the DVDs.
