Helping Writers Get It Right

Veteran police investigator Lee Lofland (Police Procedure and Investigation, Writers Digest Books, 2007) has launched The Graveyard Shift, a new blog aimed at helping authors get it right. Says Lofland, “the blog is more of a fact/Q&A site for writers regarding police procedure/CSI/forensics.” To that end, recent entries have dealt with police dogs, minutiae to do with police uniform shirts and how officers might be feeling during those irritating traffic stops.

The Graveyard Shift was launched in late January, and rapid-fire comments already indicate an interested and active readership, with some of those comments leading to new entries from Lofland.

The Graveyard Shift can be found here. Lofland’s personal blog--with more information about his books and background--is here.
