Express Yourself

Six months ago, we reported that Cartier Diamond Dagger Award-winning UK novelist John Harvey was writing a new, if abbreviated Detective Inspector Charlie Resnick book for a small press in Nottingham, England, called Five Leaves Publishing. Now Euro Crime’s Karen Meek brings further news of that venture. It seems that Harvey’s paperback novella, Trouble in Mind, is due out in early October from Five Leaves’ new imprint, Crime Express. And it won’t be rolling out alone. To be published at the same time by Crime Express are Claws, an unexpected Ben Cooper/Diane Fry novella from Stephen Booth, and Rod Duncan’s The Mentalist, about “the world of stage psychics.” All will retail for £4.99.

The Five Leaves Web site notes that “titles by Nicola Monaghan and Clare Littleford are due in 2008, together with a Crime Express book on the films of Raymond Chandler novels.”
