A View to a Thrill

Roger Moore has proclaimed that his least favorite James Bond movie is 1985’s A View to a Kill, much of which was filmed in beautiful San Francisco (as you can clearly distinguish from the film poster). Despite that slight, the city is hosting a Memorial Day weekend event dedicated to the most famous fictional British spy. Called “007 Weekend to Thrill,” this show is sponsored by Bay Area Film Events and will feature screenings of such classic Bond flicks as Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, and The Spy Who Loved Me. All showings will be on the big screen at San Francisco’s historic Castro Theatre. Richard Kiel, who played the bay-guy role of Jaws in both The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker, is the event’s special guest. Click here for ticket information.
