My fondness for CrimeReads has only partly to do with the fact that that Webzine occasionally publishes
my stories. It’s also because CrimeReads packs in a multitude of interesting material
five days a week. Three recent top-quality examples:
Curtis Evans’ excellent piece about “an appalling family tragedy” in 1934 Alabama, and the 1944 it inspired;
Neil Nyren’s thoughtful guide to Marcia Muller’s series of Sharon McCone private detective novels; and
J.D. O’Brien’s tribute to Harry Dean Stanton’s rogues’ gallery of film characters.
