At the start of February, blogger-author Patti Abbott
presented a new flash-fiction challenge. She tasked writers to develop stories of 800 words or so in length that contained the sentence, “I really don’t mind the scars.” Today, she offers
links to the numerous submissions appearing elsewhere on the Web, as well as entries presented in her own blog (see

here. She warns, by the way, that some of these pieces of flash fiction “are not for the faint of heart.”
There is definitely a tendency toward mayhem and adulterated theming. Not minding the scars brings that out in a CF crowd.
