The latest update of the
Crime Squad Web site includes brief interviews with Icelandic author
Arnaldur Indridason (whose novel,
Voices--his third English-translated story featuring Detective Erlendur--has just been released in Britain) and a “Fresh Blood” Q&A with
Andrew Nugent, a 68-year-old monk and former barrister whose new novel is
The Four Courts Murder.
Hi all,
ReplyDeleteCan I just say that I discovered the work of Arnaldur Indridason as a judge in two different award panels.
Both his books
SILENCE OF THE GRAVE
JAR CITY [aka TAINTED BLOOD]
The effect of these two books on my mind and the way I viewed the world was profound.
I just saw thanks to Jeff's post that VOICES has been released.
I didn't mess around - I just bought the sucker off Amazon and paid the express delivery to have the book in my hands.
My TBR pile is huge, and I get review copies all the time, but VOICES by Arnaldur Indridason will jump to the top of the queue.
I can not stress how wonderful the work of Arnaldur Indridason is. I saw him briefly at the Daggers in 2005 / and wish I was at B'con this year because he's coming and he's a major MAJOR talent.
I define anyone not to be bowled over by this writers talent.
Something for the weekend? - I got a book by Arnaldur Indridason and that just makes me happy.
