After skipping his September contribution to Shots, in order to attend a crime-fiction festival in Italy, Mike Ripley returns with his mid-October “Getting Away with Murder” column. Fleishman; the 10th anniversary of author Reginald Hill’s demise; and new releases from the likes of C.J.
