I admit to having read only a few of the books she lists. However, to get further into the warm spirit of this season, I did pull down from my shelves editor Otto Penzler’s 2013 short-story collection, The Big Book of Christmas Mysteries. Together with a cup of spiked egg nog and a decorated tree, I have the ingredients for a soothing yule.
