Following on the heels of last week’s announcement, by the Australian Crime Writers Association, of which books and authors have been shortlisted for the 2013 Ned Kelly Awards comes today’s news about the finalists for this year’s Davitt Awards. These prizes are presented by Sisters in Crime (SinC) Australia for “the best crime writing by women.” Here are the nominees:

The recipients of these commendations, as well as of a Reader’s Choice prize and SinC Australia’s first Lifetime Achievement award, will be announced during a dinner to be held on August 31 at the Thornbury Theatre in Melbourne. That ceremony will be hosted by New Zealand crime writer (and Ngaio Marsh Award finalist) Vanda Symon.
