Here are two bits of good news for TV crime-drama fans.

First, the still-new A&E series Longmire, starring Robert Taylor and based on Craig Johnson’s popular series of Sheriff Walt Longmire novels, has already been renewed for a second season.

And the third season of Kenneth Branagh’s Wallander will premiere in the UK is July 8, and in the States (as an element of PBS-TV’s Masterpiece Mystery! series) on September 16.
