Yesterday was Max Allan Collins’ 60th birthday. Today, we celebrate author James Ellroy’s entry into the league of sexagenarian gentlemen. I’d say something meaningful on this subject, but I am not sure I could outdo Megan Abbott’s comments from Ellroy’s last birthday. So let me just refer you to those.
