Today marks the birthday of English novelist Wilkie Collins (1824-1888), who’s “often credited as the author of the first full-length novel of detection (The Moonstone, 1868).” Editor-radio host Elizabeth Foxwell lights the candles at her blog and offers a radio production of The Moonstone in celebration.
