At the Tone, Leave a Message ...

This is a day for remembering tragedies, not only the horrific terrorist attacks on the United States of five years ago, but also the political misdeeds and bunglings, and unnecessary deaths, that have followed in the wake of those attacks. However, it’s also the day I begin three weeks of traveling, during which time I shall have little access to the Web. Therefore, I am temporarily turning over the mighty Rap Sheet steering wheel to Linda L. Richards, the editor of January Magazine and author of the new novel Calculated Loss. I hope that all of you will be as kind and generous to her as you have been to me these last few months. And I shall be back in the saddle come early October.
