A “Death Wish” for the ’00s

Just when you thought you’d heard every dumb idea in the book: Variety reports that The Weinstein Company wants to make a big-screen film based on the 1985-1989 Edward Woodward television series The Equalizer. The only hopeful news: crime novelists Michael Connelly (Echo Park) and Terrill Lee Lankford (Blonde Lightning) have been recruited to write the screenplay.

(Hat tip to Lee Goldberg.)

I loved that show. Woodward was rerrific in it.
I want it on DVD, now. Even the music by Stuart Copeland was great.
